View paintingsI am Irina Fogele (born 1980), a contemporary artist from Latvia. My practice explores the effects of digitalisation on people as social and psychological beings: disconnection from reality, loneliness, anxiety, emotional isolation and changing relationships. Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, I combine recognisable everyday imagery with elements of absurdity and surrealism.
About meA print reproduces the image and its visible texture, but does not recreate the original’s hand-built three-dimensional relief.
